Are You Trying to Serve Two Masters?
The following is a fascinating study of word play, legalese and how we have been deceived into turning our backs on God and instead, we are paying tribute to ‘mammon’ the false god.
Let us begin with some fundamental scripture to use as our baseline of understanding;
‘Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste
and a divided house falls.’ Luke 11:17
‘He who is not with me is against me,
and he who does not gather with me, scatters.’ Luke 11:23
‘No servant can serve two masters.
You cannot serve God and mammon.’ Luke 16:13
As additional basis for understanding this study you should have first read the article we have posted on the Home Page entitled: “Romans 13: The Full and Correct Interpretation” found on the bottom of the page.
We put this study in the context of being a ‘national’ or ‘citizen’ of the United States and we will look at the legal definitions as written in the law and compare those to our faith, belief and sacred scripture. Once you start connecting the dots it should be quite an interesting revelation for you.
I will summarize the obvious conclusions of this study and leave you with the research to follow below which clearly supports the position that the modern system of Babylon has induced us into turning away from the divine providence and protections of God himself and instead we turn to man and his Babylonian commercial and political systems instead. Is it any wonder this world is in such a mess? We have chosen the wrong path and our churches sit silent with their consent. It’s time we correct our errors.
8 USC (US Code) 1101 –
(21) The term ‘national’ means any person owing permanent allegiance to a state.
(22) The term “national of the United States” means (A) a citizen of the United States, or (B) a person who, though not a citizen of the United States, owes permanent allegiance to the United States.
From the Internal Revenue Code: 26 USC 7701
– (9) the term ‘United States’ when used in a geographical sense includes only the States and the District of Columbia.
(10) The term ‘State’ shall be construed to include the District of Columbia, where such construction is necessary to carry out provisions of this title.
So they would have you believe that Florida and Michigan and the other 50 states are ‘states’ of the United States, when in fact and in law, they are not. The law is very specific and it does not involve generalities, assumptions or presumptions.
When they use the word ‘includes’ it means ‘to the exclusion of everything else’. So to say, “The term ‘State’ shall be construed to include the District of Columbia” what they are saying is that ‘State’ IS ONLY the District of Columbia. This single fact alone shows the deliberate attempt at deception involved in Babylonian law and we know who is the master of deception!
Continuing…
“Citizenship” is a status given to one who owes “allegiance” to the government in exchange for civil rights. Civil rights are only afforded by government to ‘citizens’ (subjects) and those rights may be curtailed or withdrawn entirely if you don’t comply with the governmental compact. Example: A citizen who commits a felony loses his civil right to vote or own a gun.
Natural rights, on the other hand, are God given and cannot be infringed upon by anyone for any reason. Which would you prefer? If you commit a sin against your brother, you go and make recompense and ask for forgiveness. The slate is wiped clean. You don’t lose your inheritance from heaven! In Natural Law you don’t go to prison for committing a ‘crime against the state’ wherein there is no victim or injured party.
So, it seems “allegiance” is incorporated into “citizenship”, from what is written in Black’s Law Dictionary.
What is ALLEGIANCE?
According to Black’s Law Dictionary;
“Allegiance” is obligation. “obligation” is that which constitutes a legal or moral duty and which renders a person liable to coercion and punishment for neglecting it.”
On fidelity: ”fidelity” = being faithful and true to one’s lord, rendering him obedience and service. Question: who exactly is ‘Your’ Lord?
And on obedience: “obedience” = compliance with a command or prohibition, from government in consideration for protection that government gives.
Basically, it is the giving up of one’s freedom and self determination under God to receive the protection or benefits from the government instead.
By ‘allegiance’ it is meant the obligation of fidelity and obedience which the individual owes to the government under which he lives, or to his sovereign in return for the protection he receives. It may be an absolute and permanent obligation, or it may be a qualified and temporary one. The citizen or subject owes an absolute and permanent allegiance to his government or sovereign, or at least until, by some open and distinct act, he renounces it and becomes a citizen or subject of another government or another sovereign. The alien, while domiciled in the country, owes a local and temporary allegiance, which continues during the period of his residence. Carlisle v. U. S
FIDEL’ITY, noun [Latin fidelitas, from fides, faith, fido, to trust. See Faith.]
1. Faithfulness; careful and exact observance of duty, or performance of obligations. We expect fidelity in a public minister, in an agent or trustee, in a domestic servant, in a friend.
The best security for the fidelity of men, is to make interest coincide with duty.
2. Firm adherence to a person or party with which one is united, or to which one is bound; loyalty; as the fidelity of subjects to their king or government; the fidelity of a tenant or liege to his lord. – Websters 1828 Ed.
What is FEALTY?
In feudal law. Fidelity; allegiance to the feudal lord of the manor; the feudal obligation resting upon the tenant or vassal by which he was bound to he faithful and true to his lord, and render him obedience and service. See I)e I’oyster v. Michael,0 N. Y. 497. 57 Am. Dec. 470. Fealty signifies fidelity, the phrase “foal and leal” meaning simply “faithful and loyal.” – Black’s Law Dictionary 5th Ed.
OBE’DIENCE, noun [Latin obedientia. See Obey.]
Compliance with a command, prohibition or known law and rule of duty prescribed; the performance of what is required or enjoined by authority, or the abstaining from what is prohibited, in compliance with the command or prohibition. To constitute obedience the act or forbearance to act must be in submission to authority; the command must be known to the person, and his compliance must be in consequence of it, or it is not obedience obedience is not synonymous with obsequiousness; the latter often implying meanness or servility, and obedience being merely a proper submission to authority. That which duty requires implies dignity of conduct rather than servility. obedience may be voluntary or involuntary.
Voluntary obedience alone can be acceptable to God.
Government must compel the obedience of individuals; otherwise who will seek its protection or fear it’s vengeance?
Websters 1828 Ed.
‘Compelled obedience’ is under threat of force.
OBEY, verb transitive [Latin obedio; Gr.]
1. To comply with the commands, orders or instructions of a superior, or with the requirements of law, moral, political or municipal; to do that which is commanded or required, or to forbear doing that which is prohibited.
Websters 1828 Ed.
So I hope you start to get the picture. This is a very short study with only the beginning basics. It is but a small little sliver of truth in the mountain of deception which blinds most of us today. We are deceived to serve mammon and most of us don’t even know it.
In summary, who are you really? Are you speaking with a forked tongue giving praise to God with your lips while you serve, honor, obey and give allegiance and tribute to foreign false gods designed by men? Are you serving mammon or God? We cannot serve both!
“No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other;
or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other.
Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” Matthew 6:24
Give this some serious thought. I leave you with additional scriptures below to study which relate to and support this theme.
