Fear and panic most assuredly will come upon you at a time when you are set upon with a surprise attack by the enemy. You are unprepared. You don’t have a plan. Panic sets in and you don’t know what to do. So out of emotional reaction you likely do the ‘wrong thing’ making irrational judgements and you put yourself into a worse position. Knowing the enemy’s game plan and anticipating it is the first step. Having the proper mindset, knowing that you are prepared and not surprised gives you clear thinking in times of crisis. Having a plan in place in anticipation of the enemy’s moves puts you in a spot where you know exactly what to do.
